We have been so pleased this year to be working with another incredible line up of designers for the 2023 Knitter’s Planner, and we want to tell you all about them! Throughout the month of August, we will interview each of our designers, share more about them, and tell you about their 2023 Knitter’s Planner patterns.
Our first designer is Julie Ann Lebouthillier of Twin Stitches Designs, who designed the beautiful Mulberry Gems Socks!
Julie Ann Lebouthillier is a stay-at-home mom of twin girls from East Coast Canada. She has a love of knitting socks and colorwork, and she loves being able to help others on their knitting journeys. She also has a fun online yarn shop you can find through her website. When she’s not knitting, she enjoys reading and spending time with her family.
The Mulberry Gems sock pattern is knit from the top-down and has four sizes included. The pattern is created with some ribbing and cables, but don’t let that scare you, since there’s only 1 row of cables every 16 rows. It’s designed out of the fabulous Moonglow Yarn; the tonal yarn really lets the pattern shine.
Tell us a little about the yarn you worked with for your project.
MoonGlow Yarn is a yarn I’ve been obsessed with, it’s incredible and amazing to work with. Whitney’s colours are just perfect for any type of pattern, texture and colorwork. When I came up with this sock design I couldn’t think of a better yarn to pair it with.
Thank you, Julie Ann, for sharing more about yourself!
