Harebell Lace

Inspiration: I came across this stitch pattern in Barbara Walker’s Second Treasury of Knitting Patterns and loved both its simplicity and its versatility. Knitting it from the bottom up gives the knitter small bell-shaped motifs that remind me of the tiny blooms on a lily of the valley. Knitting it in a top-down project shows the pattern upside-down and results in beautiful tulip motifs.

Tip: Like many knitters, I have several sets of interchangeable needles. I keep my needle tips in a clear acrylic stand meant for organizing makeup brushes. I labeled each of the 24 spaces by needle size, and now all of my needle tips are organized and ready to go when I need them. I store crochet hooks, pencils/pens, and DPNs in the extra spaces!
